Chapter 280 - 279: She opens her heart to him
Qin Zhuzhu quickly dashed and held him up, supporting him with her small frame.
"What’s wrong? Are you okay?" She felt for his forehead with a concern expression. It wasn’t hot.
"Nothing. I’m just tired, Little Pearl," he sighed. Looking at her felt like a relief. It would have felt off but she felt a warm feeling in her chest, seeing him come home.
Qin Zhuzhu noticed that he was clutching a sword by his side. When he saw that her eyes were looking at the sword, he quickly retracted the blade and put it aside, afraid that he might frighten her.
But instead she laughed softly. "I know. I won’t ask you what you were doing. I...I want to learn to trust you," her words surprised him.
Shentu Jing stared at her, his peach blossom eyes held an incomprehensible glint in them.
Suddenly he enveloped her in a tight hug, pulling her close to his chest.
"One day, I promise that I’ll tell you everything," he said softly, his warm breath tickling her ear. He didn’t expect her to be understanding and patient.
She snuggled in his arms. "I’ll wait for you,"
After thirty minutes, Qin Zhuzhu broke the hug. She looked up into his eyes, her hand reached out and gently brushed his cheek.
"Okay, I think it’s late. I need to go to sleep and get ready for tomorrow. I’ll be going to Paris soon. If you don’t mind.... then let’s sleep t...together?" She felt that her words were a little ambiguous and easy to misunderstand.
