"Are you feeling better? I bought some porridge for you," Qiao Nian sat beside Shentu Chu and held up a polystyrene bowl with two hands.
Shentu Chu laughed softly. This girl was too sweet and cute. It made him want to dote on her more. Qiao Nian thought that he liked to tease her so she didn’t think much of it.
"Much better. Where’s your brother?" He casually asked and took the porridge from her hands, and started to drink it.
"He’s outside with the car. I think he’s tired after carrying you the entire way," the girl replied naively.
"Ah?!!" Shentu Chu was astonished and he almost spat the porridge out in shock. He landed into a coughing fit.
"Cough.... Cough.... Cough....."
"Are you okay? Should I call the nurse?" Qiao Nian rubbed his back to ease the cough. Shentu Chu waved dismissively at her.
"I’m fine. It was your brother who carried me all the way into the hospital?!"
"Yes, why? But not really. For the first half of the journey, he dragged you in. Then later he carried you over his shoulder," Qiao Nian looked at Shentu Chu as if she was caught doing something naughty.
"What’s wrong? Why do you look like that? My brother’s very strong, so you don’t have to worry about him!"
No wonder his arms and legs were aching after he woke up! He even had some bruises in his arms and legs! His stomach hurted a lot like someone had punched it.
