"Why don’t you go? Weren’t you interested in investigating him?" Shentu Chu tried to push the responsibility back to him, but Shentu Jing threw it perfectly back in his hands.
"Why are you asking me? You are close to him. You can seduce the answer out of him," Shentu Jing replied.
"Cough.... cough.... Second brother, I don’t like men that much. I prefer cute girls," Shentu Chu coughed into his fist awkwardly.
They quickly hurried passed the bodies of the men, almost reaching the entrance. Qiao Nian jerked her wrist out of Shentu Chu’s grip, giving him a fierce look.
She didn’t want to have anything to do with him if he dared to blame her brother!
"Nian Nian, wait!" Shentu Chu ran after her. Shentu Chu had no idea since when he started to care about her. He even cared whether she was angry or not... Did his mind get corrupted by that cute face?
"No, stay away!" Qiao Nian reached the large double doors and started to push it open. Shentu Jing was behind her with Shentu Chu even further behind.
The doors creaked loudly. Shentu Chu stopped in his tracks, eyes narrowing. The air was silent around him. The wind rustled the bushes and trees high above. Shentu Chu pushed a stray hair away.
Then he quickly shoved Shentu Jing out of the way, shouting, "Above you!"
