Chapter 204: Set foot into the lion’s den
The stairs seemed familiar to her. It had been many years since she visited the Qiao Mansion so she had forgotten about the place.
Finally, Qiao Minde stopped in front of a door. He motioned to the door with his chin. Pulan looked at the door suspiciously.
"What are you up to?" She glared at him.
"Go in. She’s waiting for you," with that, Qiao Minde walked off.
Pulan glanced at Qiao Minde and then at the door. Taking a deep breath, she pushed the door opened and walked in.
There was a bed in the corner, a little table lamp and some children’s books on the side table. Seated on the soft bed was none other than Qiao Nian.
"Sister Pulan!" Qiao Nian cried out, rushed towards the stunned woman and threw her arms around her in a tight embrace.
"Ah Nian, what a surprise! I didn’t know that you were here too!"
"Yes, I asked brother to bring you to me," Qiao Nian took her hands and held them lovingly as if she was a little child.
"He didn’t say anything to me about it," Pulan was confused. At first, she thought that Qiao Minde wanted to do something bad to her like eight years ago when she witnessed him punch ShenJi.
"Oh, really? Then he must have his reasons," Qiao Nian shrugged.
