Chapter 27: Cold but villainously beautiful eyes
"Is Miss Bai forgetting something? Isn't your brother Xu coming over to have lunch with you?" Qin Zhuzhu said coldly. She wanted this White lotus out of her sight as soon as possible. She was spoiling her appetite!
Qin Zhuzhu seemed like she had completely given up on Xu Meng. Bai Qianhua wasn't happy with her reaction. Wasn't she supposed to be obsessed about Xu Meng? Or was this bitch just pretending?
Bai Qianhua bore a grudge against Qin Zhuzhu because she married Xu Meng. It was supposed to be her, Bai Qianhua, who was fit to be Xu Meng's wife. Yet because of Xu Meng's grandfather's arrangements, Bai Qianhua ended up waiting many years. People were even starting to treat her like she was the mistress who broke up the marriage.
"I'm sorry to disturb you both. I'll take my leave," Bai Qianhua said politely and walked away back to her table. Bai Qianhua sneered in her heart.
Once Bai Qianhua was out of hearing range, Qin Zhuzhu put her chopsticks down.
"Feed my fiancée? Really? Stinky Jing, your mouth is full of sugar," Qin Zhuzhu snapped at him.
"What? You clearly know I was trying to piss her off. Isn't she the one who stole your husband away from you? How about I teach her a lesson on your behalf?" Shentu Jing offered with a smile.
Qin Zhuzhu looked at Shentu Jing expressionlessly. She didn't know what to say but her heart felt moved by his words. He was willing to stand for her and that was enough.
"Don't. I can handle it myself," she declined.
