As Dong Xin Yan was silently lamenting to herself, Gu Ningyi finally spoke up. However, instead of the reprimand she expected, he simply asked, "Yesterday’s events, did you forget them all?"
Dong Xin Yan was taken aback for a moment. She had been anxiously waiting for Gu Ningyi to explode, but she never expected him to only ask this question.
Given what Dong Xin Yan knew about Gu Ningyi, he was usually straightforward. If she had angered him, he would have erupted immediately. This questioning was not his usual style.
Perhaps... she hadn’t done anything wrong yesterday? Or maybe she did, but it wasn’t that serious?
Dong Xin Yan snuck a glance up, trying to read something from Gu Ningyi’s face. However, as soon as she lifted her eyes, she locked eyes with his dark gaze, which scared her into quickly lowering her eyes again.
But with her abilities, hoping to glean anything from Gu Ningyi’s face was futile. She’d be better off straining to remember.

Even though she couldn’t recall anything, she could at least probe. Perhaps she really did apologize to Gu Ningyi while drunk. As for the forgiveness, that was just her wishful thinking.
