I Became the Billionaire's Fake Lover to Get My Revenge

Chapter 62: Dirty Secret

What the hell is Susanne doing here? Anna’s brows furrowed as she studied the woman from behind her glasses. I saw the news of her arrest when we returned, she was sent to the female detention facility... Even if she was later placed under house arrest, there’s no way she should be walking around so freely like this.

Driven by a growing curiosity, Anna leaned forward slightly. She needed to find out what was going on.

Turning to face the empty bar, she adjusted her headscarf, making sure not a single strand of hair or feature of her face was visible. Then, lifting her empty wine glass to her lips, she began to fidget with the stem—her eyes on the glass, her ears straining to catch every word exchanged behind her.

"I’d watch your tone, Suzy," Sebastian said, leaning back in his seat, arms folded across his chest with lazy arrogance. "I was the one who bailed you out. Not your family. Not your friends. Me. Even your own parents weren’t willing to pay for your release."

"I don’t care," Susanne snapped, her tone sharp, eyes blazing with annoyance. "It should’ve been Marienne! She was the one who was supposed to do that—not you! Where is she anyway? Just because she’s my brother’s fiancée now, does she think she’s suddenly too good for this?"

Sebastian’s expression hardened, the sharp line of his jaw tightening. "What does it matter? You’re out, aren’t you? You can go wherever you like—so long as it doesn’t involve returning to your mansion or making any contact with Marienne or your family. That was the condition."

Susanne scoffed, running both hands down her face in visible frustration, as though trying to scrub the anger away. "And what the hell am I supposed to do now, huh? Did that bitch even think about that before sending you in her place? Where am I supposed to live? How am I supposed to survive without money?"

"Calm down," Sebastian sighed, dragging his fingers through his sleek, dark hair. "Don’t you have an old flame you can run to? If memory serves me right, you’ve had quite a few lovers in the past. Surely one of them would be desperate enough to lend you a helping hand."

"Ugh," Susanne groaned, rolling her eyes. "After I stole Oscar from his fiancée, I really thought that was it. I may not look like it, but I’m not the kind of woman who juggles multiple men. I believed he was the one. He did leave that witch for me, even knowing we’d struggle financially."
