Chapter 46: Four in the Afternoon
Anna struggled to peel her heavy eyelids open, her vision blurry as she tried to focus, waiting for the sleepiness to subside. She turned to the side, letting out a groan of discomfort. Every inch of her body ached, as though she had spent the entire night enduring an intense workout routine.
I can’t believe this...
It happened again. They slept together again last night, and this time, William had shown no mercy.
A rush of heat flooded Anna’s face as she absentmindedly brushed her sore lips with her right hand, a strange smile curving on her flushed face.
Truthfully, she hadn’t wanted last night to end either. The way William had held her close—so possessive, so passionate—his body pressing against hers like he was jealous even of the bedsheets that had no choice but to brush against her skin whenever she moved.
The way he kissed her—not just on the lips, but everywhere. It was as though he wanted to mark every inch of her body, his lips claiming her skin, leaving no spot untouched by his devotion, his presence.
The way he moved... relentless and greedy, he hadn’t stopped for hours, each thrust of his hips and every skillful movement of his fingers driving Anna to the brink of madness. He played her like an instrument, and she responded as if he were the only one who knew how to coax her to the perfect note.
I must have really gone crazy, Anna thought, her face turning even redder as she buried it into the soft pillow beneath her.
She was still enveloped in William’s intoxicating scent, which seemed to have seeped into the sheets and pillowcases. Even her own skin carried traces of him, and Anna couldn’t help but wish that his scent would remain with her forever—clinging to her until the day she died.
