Chapter 44: New Beginnings at the Inn
"It’s no trouble. Are you hungry?" Henry asked kindly.
"No, not at all. I’m still full from the large lunch you gave me."
In truth, his stomach had only just settled from how much he had eaten earlier.
"Well then, how about joining us for some tea? We’d like to talk to you about something," Henry offered.
"Yes, of course," Shen Xinghui replied, sitting across from the couple.
Jenna moved closer to sit beside Henry, and the two smiled warmly as they poured Shen Xinghui a cup of tea.
The calming aroma and warmth of the tea settled his nerves.
"Xinghui, Jenna and I were just discussing something. If you’re willing, would you like to work here with us?" Henry asked.
Shen Xinghui stared at them in surprise.
He hadn’t expected such an offer.
Jenna smiled brightly and Henry’s gaze was steady and kind.
