Chapter 36: An Invitation to Drakthar Dominion
Shen Xinghui felt all the blood drain from his face.
He was far too weak to defend himself.
The one skill he had was the very thing that could put him in danger.
If someone kidnapped him, he’d have no way to resist, no way to stop what would happen to him.
The thought of being used, of being made to bear children against his will—it was terrifying.
A cold shiver ran down his spine.
This wasn’t a gift.
It was a curse.
"It’s best to only share this information with someone you deeply trust and genuinely feel comfortable having children with," the nun said gently, clasping Shen Xinghui’s trembling hands. "If possible, it would be ideal if they belong to one of the endangered species. They tend to have wealth and even having one child for them would ensure you’re well cared for."
Her words were meant to comfort him, but they only added to the complex weight on Shen Xinghui’s shoulders.
When Shen Xinghui staggered out of the church, Ignatius was waiting for him outside.
