Chapter 198 - 192 Beyond the Goal
Qingran was right to expect that there wouldn’t just be a single subject exam on Monday. Almost every teacher had prepared test papers.
The examination lasted for two full days, and by now the students had grown accustomed to it. Hardly anyone complained all day long anymore; everyone knew that complaining wouldn’t change anything. They figured it was better to use that time to solve a couple more problems.
After the exams, Qingran felt much more relaxed. These past few days, she was under Old Wu’s watchful eye, which really scared her.
She swore that if she ever took a leave again, she would absolutely not drag Xie Ying’an into it, even if he pestered her.
After all, being watched by Old Wu while studying was truly an uncomfortable experience.
Xie Ying’an was also under Old Wu’s scrutiny, but he didn’t show any signs of nervousness. Whether in class or during self-study, he would do his exercises or let his mind wander as usual, not caring whether Old Wu was watching him or not. In Old Wu’s words, he was the type who ’couldn’t care less about boiling water as if he were a swine’.
Old Wu had no way to deal with Xie Ying’an, only waiting for the exam results to come out to talk about it.
Class 2 of the second grade returned to the tense atmosphere prior to the final exams. As they were about to move into third grade, they really had no time to fool around.
They had now entered the countdown to the college entrance exam, which was a crucial determinant of their futures.
After a grueling two-day exam, on Wednesday Old Wu still remembered to personally collect Qingran and Xie Ying’an’s test papers from the class.
Fortunately, they both had finished. Old Wu took their papers, flipping through them casually -- first to the middle, then to the last page -- and upon seeing the densely packed steps of the solutions, his expression finally softened.
