His fingertips tapped rapidly on the screen, quickly sending two more messages, but he waited for quite a while and Li Qingran didn’t reply again.
The door to his room was open, and Zhao Yan walked in with a cup of milk, glanced at Xie Ying’an and asked with a smile, "Messaging Ranran?"
Xie Ying’an put away his phone and responded with a low hum.
With a smirk, Zhao Yan handed him the milk.
A trace of disdain flashed through Xie Ying’an’s eyes as he refused, "I don’t want it."
"You have to drink it," Zhao Yan firmly placed the milk in Xie Ying’an’s hand, "How else will you grow taller?"
Frowning at the milk, Xie Ying’an complained, "Mom, you’ve been using that excuse for over a decade, can’t we change it up?"
"Sure," Zhao Yan nodded, "If you don’t drink your milk, then I won’t go see your dad for a while. I’ll just stay home with you."
As soon as she finished speaking, an empty milk cup was handed back to her.
