Chapter 61 - 57 Annoyance
Qingran and Xie Ying’an were nestled in the study reading books.
Mr. Li rarely used the study. The ones who actually used it were mostly Li Qing Mo and Qingran, and most of the books in there were bought by Li Qing Mo. Qingran would also occasionally buy a few just for show, mainly because she thought it looked bad empty.
She seldom read the books she bought, and Li Qing Mo even less; he scarcely had time not spent on studying, and what little he had was hardly enough for gaming.
Xie Ying’an casually picked up a book from the shelf and sat down at the desk next to Qingran, "I heard from your brother that you went to the library this morning?"
"Yeah." Qingran was still searching the shelves for the book she had seen at the library.
Apart from the Four Great Classical Novels, most books on the shelf were travel writings of some sort, such as "The World I Live In", "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea", "Unsolved Mysteries of the World", all of which Qingran had read in middle school.
The main thing was, she had been so engrossed in "The Catcher in the Rye" at noon today, that if not for caring about Ji Yanchen’s feelings, she reckoned she could have holed up in the library for the whole day.
Unable to find the book she wanted, Qingran felt a bit dismayed and had to walk outside to grab the homework she needed to do.
By the time she returned to the study, Xie Ying’an had already put down his book and was looking at his cellphone.
It was gloomy outside, and the light in the room had darkened considerably. Qingran turned on the study light and sat down opposite Xie Ying’an.
Xie Ying’an was still staring at his phone screen, and when Qingran sat down, she glimpsed him looking at a picture from the corner of her eye.
