Chapter 45 - 42: Following the Plot
Wednesday comes around with a PE class for Class 1.
Conveniently, Class 7 has adjusted their schedule, having their PE class coincide with Class 1.
The PE teacher from Class 1 first has the students run two laps around the track. The boys are okay, but the girls are nearly collapsing from exhaustion.
After completing two laps, Ruan Ruan crouches on the ground, gasping for air, surrounded by a number of girls in similar states.
Qingran pulls her up, "Get up quickly, you’ll feel better after walking a bit."
Ruan Ruan can barely speak and waves at Qingran dismissively.
The PE teacher, whistling, calls out, "Students, don’t squat on the ground after running, get up and walk!"
Reluctantly, Ruan Ruan starts walking with Qingran, leaning on her shoulder and whispering complaints: "Ranran, why aren’t you tired at all?"
Qingran’s face is flushed from running: "I’m tired too, just not as much as you."
Ruan Ruan is on the verge of tears, "Why am I suffering like this even after surviving military training?"
Qingran teases her: "You should exercise more, it’s good for your body."
