Chapter 33 - 30: Holding the Child
Mr. Li took time out of his busy schedule
to handle Qingran’s hospital discharge procedures.
Coincidentally, Mr. Song also came to visit Song Shize at that time, with just a wall separating their rooms, and the doors of the rooms weren’t even closed, so the soundproofing was just so-so.
Mr. Li had the discharge papers in hand, but still couldn’t let go and tried to persuade Qingran one more time: "Why not stay a few more days and observe a bit longer?"
Qingran refused firmly: "Dad, the doctor said I can be discharged now."
Qingran had undergone all sorts of examinations for her heart pain, but no cause was found. The doctor recommended staying for observation for two to three days.
Mr. Li wanted to persuade her further, but his words were cut off by an angry roar from next door.
"Song Shize!" The middle-aged man’s voice broke due to extreme anger.
However, Song Shize’s voice was not heard, only Mr. Song’s scolding—
"Doctor Zhou told me a long time ago. Those few rotten teeth of yours have already healed, so how much longer are you planning to stay in the hospital?"
Song Shize’s voice was indeed not heard.
