Chapter 251 - 236: She Deserves to Be Bitten to Death
Qi Yexin stared at the confession letter without touching it, not knowing if he had read its contents. Suddenly, he raised his head and stared at Mu Shuoqian: "What does this mean?"
"It’s clearly written above, Old Mr. Qi shouldn’t be asking me," Mu Shuoqian lifted his wrist to check the time, "Unfortunately, I have another meeting. In three days, I hope Old Mr. Qi can hand this document over to me, of course, I hope it will be signed by then."
After Mu Shuoqian finished speaking, he stood up, his tall and straight figure instantly lowering the pressure in the office to its minimum. Qi Chuan had something to say, but the words were forced back by his imposing demeanor. It was Qi Chuan’s first time engaging so closely with the famously renowned Mu Shuoqian, who was exactly like the rumors described: cold, aloof, and unsociable.
It wasn’t until Mu Shuoqian and Xiao Ran left that Qi Chuan’s somewhat numb mouth regained sensation. He strode over to the desk, picked up the paper and started reading. By the end, his face had turned pale, incredulously asking Qi Yexin for confirmation: "Dad, is this true? Could Xiao Mi really do something like this? This... this is murder!?"
"Han Hao, get the car ready." Qi Yexin, with a dark face, walked out while instructing, "Bring Luan Yi back to me."
"Yes, Chairman." Han Hao hurriedly instructed the driver to wait downstairs, then called Luan Yi.
Luan Yi hadn’t been to work or returned home these past two days; instead, she had been staying at a friend’s place.
When the phone rang, she was sleeping on the sofa.
"Luan Yi, your phone." Her friend walked out of the bathroom and nudged her.
Luan Yi, still groggy, sat up and found her mobile phone amongst a mess of snacks and bottles on the coffee table. She glanced at the caller ID before answering.
"Miss, the chairman asks you to come home."
"I, I have something..." Luan Yi’s voice faltered immediately.
