He had just parked the car when he received a call that seemed to indicate there was important business to handle, so Gu Qili said hello and went on her own to browse around.
Upon entering the luxurious showroom, a salesperson greeted her enthusiastically, asking, "Miss, are you looking at the cars?"
"Yes, just having a look," Gu Qili responded with a smile before walking further inside.
The salesperson sized her up and down, noting her ordinary white T-shirt and jeans, as well as her non-branded backpack. Consequently, the salesperson didn’t follow but disdainfully shrugged to a colleague: "Does she even know what kind of cars we sell here? Doesn’t recognize the brands probably?"
Although the salesperson spoke softly, Gu Qili still heard her. She ignored it and walked over to a car model she liked.
Just as she was about to open the door to try sitting inside, the same salesperson hurried over, seemingly afraid that she might dirty the car: "Miss, this car is not for sitting in."
"Oh, is that so? Why isn’t there a sign saying that?"
The salesperson was stunned for a moment but still kept a polite smile: "That was our oversight, thank you for your suggestion."
"How can I know if the ride is comfortable without sitting in it?" Gu Qili continued touching the car door and showed no intention of leaving.
