Chapter 201 - 190 What do you mean?
Gu Qili hugged a pug and waited in the rain for half an hour before a black sedan finally came speeding from a distance. Probably in a rush, it didn’t slow down upon entering the residential area. The wheels splashed rainwater to both sides until it gradually slowed down near a small garden.
The pug stood up in Gu Qili’s arms upon seeing the car and barked twice towards the direction from which the car was coming.
The car backed into a nearby parking spot, the door opened, and Tang Tianyou stepped out from the vehicle, holding a purple-black umbrella. His tall and handsome figure instantly became a unique scenery in the rain.
Two women hurrying home with umbrellas couldn’t help but stop to take a second look at him, but he did not glance aside, his gaze fixed on the girl sitting on the flower bed, hugging a small dog in her arms.
She seemed to have been waiting for a long time, her white T-shirt soaked through, yet she still held the little dog tight, as if afraid it would catch a cold.
She wore light blue sandals with thin straps, and tapped the water in front of her with her foot while waiting, occasionally murmuring with a warm smile like a flower blossoming in the rain.
Suddenly, the pug in her arms barked, and Gu Qili looked up to see Tang Tianyou walking towards her with an umbrella. She quickly waved her hand and jumped down from the flower bed.
As Tang Tianyou approached, he shifted the umbrella over her head, covering the half of her shoulder that was wet, his voice as moist as rainwater: "Sorry, there was a traffic jam on the road, made you wait too long."
"It’s okay, sitting here watching the scenery is also quite nice," Gu Qili said, holding the pug out to him, "Here’s your dog, back to its owner. But, it doesn’t seem to like the dog food I bought for it; it seems to have gotten thinner."
Tang Tianyou didn’t take the dog immediately but glanced down at the pug, which lazily looked back at him.
