Chapter 122: Cramps in My Hand
Gu Qili finished her meal and returned to school, only to bump into Hu Jiaojiao who had just alighted from a car at the school entrance.
She got out of the car, waving goodbye to the person inside with a seductive smile, her look similar to that of seeing off a lover.
The tint of the car windows was rather dark, so Gu Qili couldn’t make out who was sitting inside. As soon as Hu Jiaojiao turned her head and saw her, she happily walked over to greet her.
"Qiqi, what a coincidence."
What a coincidence my ass.
Gu Qili threw her a cold glance, not stopping her stride as if she hadn’t noticed her presence at all.
Hu Jiaojiao didn’t mind at all; instead, she quickly caught up, her previously injured leg seemingly not hurting anymore.
"Qiqi, let’s fairly compete for that translator position, shall we? We’re both top students in the Foreign Language Department, and most importantly, my background is clean. I’ve never done anything unethical, so if the examiners ask, you’d better think carefully about how to respond."
"Fair competition?" Gu Qili didn’t bother to look at her, and with a scoff, retorted, "Could it be that when you were hailing a taxi by the roadside, you just happened to flag down the Mu family’s young master’s car, and he graciously gave you a lift?"
Hu Jiaojiao was stunned for a moment, seemingly not expecting Gu Qili to recognize the car as Mu Hewen’s.
But she quickly regained her assertiveness and countered: "He just accidentally scraped against me. He took me to the hospital, that’s all. It wasn’t as filthy as you’re thinking."
