Mu Shuoqian was handling official business in his study, with the keyboard clattering loudly. Behind him, the black and white floor-length curtains tightly blocked the moonlight from the windows. A faint knock on the door reached his ears, soft as if a small cat was scratching at the door.

"Come in."

After about half a minute of pause, there was no movement outside the door, nor did anyone push it open. It was only him and Gu Qili at home; who else could have been knocking if not her?

He ignored it, continuing to type on his keyboard.
