Chapter 429: The End - Our Love and Future
“Congratulations to us, you’re pregnant, Mila!” Prince Leonard announced excitedly.
“I’m pregnant?” I asked more out of curiosity than out of surprise. Although I knew that the prince would never joke about something like this, I still found it hard to believe that I was suddenly pregnant.
“That’s right, you’re pregnant, and that means we’re about to have another baby,” Prince Leonard said before breaking into another wide smile.
“I’m...really pregnant?” I whispered as I struggled to wrap my head around the prince’s sudden announcement.
“The doctor said that you might have been feeling tired because you’re in the early stages of pregnancy. I’m sorry that I hadn’t realized this sooner; otherwise, I would have kept all the ceremonies short so that you didn’t have to go through all of that when you’re feeling so tired,” the prince said apologetically as he took my hands into his. I kept staring at the prince as he buried the side of his face against the palm of my hand.
“We’re about to have another baby,” I said as I found myself smiling just at the thought.
Unlike that time with Logan, when I tried desperately to become pregnant, our second miracle happened in a very unplanned and unexpected way. It truly made me feel like our second child was a gift from above.
“That’s right! We’re about to have another baby. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am,” the prince said before pulling me into his embrace. I wrapped my arms around his back as I felt him kissing the top of my head.
“I still find it so hard to believe,” I confessed in a soft whisper.
“You better believe it. I also think that this is the best wedding present ever,” Prince Leonard said, and I could feel the love in his voice.
Even though I was overjoyed, I couldn’t stop the feeling of worry that crept up in my chest when I thought about going through another pregnancy journey. It was definitely very difficult with Logan, and there were times when I truly believed that I had lost our baby. Fortunately, I managed to give birth to Logan safely, and he had already grown up to be a very healthy and energetic boy. That being said, there was no guarantee that the same would happen this time around.
