Chapter 413: Logan
**3 years later**
One of the days that Prince Leonard dreaded the most finally arrived. After trying to put it off and holding the fort for a bit more than 3 years, it seems that he could no longer have his way regarding the matter.
"I don’t want to be king," Prince Leonard muttered darkly.
"I guess there’s nothing that you can do about that," I replied before grinning at him. I had always known that the prince did not want to become the next king. However, as fate would have it, he was not only the first prince to produce an ultimate alpha son, but he was the only one.
We found out that the doctor was right about my body being able to accommodate the growth and transition of our baby to full-term. That did not mean that the pregnancy journey was easy for me. In fact, I truly kept everyone excited and on edge right up until the birth of our child. Thankfully, Prince Leonard was adamant in ignoring all past customs that were in support of natural delivery for the sake of both my safety as well that of our child. Based on the doctor’s recommendation, we decided that it would be better for the baby to be born via a C-section rather than through natural birth. The main reason being the size of the baby and also the fact that we could not anticipate what form the baby would be born in. That might not have been an issue had the baby maintained his human form at the time of his birth; however, there was always the risk that the baby might be in his wolf form or may undergo a transformation during delivery. If that were to happen, there would be a high-risk that I’m going to be able to deliver naturally.
Sometimes I felt like I wanted to have a brave moment to say that I made it through all the pain of labor; however, I was numb from the waist down when it happened. Despite my fears going into the process, everything went as smoothly as could be and my baby was born yelling at the top of his lungs. I can still remember the tears that welled up in my eyes the moment that the doctor placed my son into my arms for the very first time. Prince Leonard kissed the top of my head before he whispered in my ear.
“I love you, Mila. Thank you for making me a father," the prince whispered sweetly into my ear before placing a kiss on my cheek.
It was so very hard for me to believe that that magical moment happened more than three years ago. Thankfully, our son was born healthy and without any complications. I was too busy taking care of our son and also recovering from my surgery to fully comprehend the implication related to my son’s birth. I was told later on that the entire kingdom was overjoyed by the news when it was finally revealed to the public by the official representatives of the palace. Prince Leonard couldn’t have cared any less about such things because his attention was wholly absorbed by the newly born prince. We spent all the time that we could together for an entire week at the hospital before moving back to his palace.
"We really need to come up with a name for him. I actually find it strange that he’d been nameless for the past three days already," Prince Leonard said before letting out a little chuckle.
We were supposed to have a name for the baby ready before he was born, but we were so indecisive regarding the matter that we never finalized the name for our baby. At first, I thought that I had a few reasonably decent options for his name, but then I thought that none of the names that we had prepared felt right for the baby whenever I looked at his face.
