Chapter 400: Sisters
I let out a nervous laugh as I hoped that the prince wouldn’t feel offended. My fear felt like it was nonsense when Prince Leonard let out a soft chuckle to express his amusement. At first, I thought that I would feel uncomfortable about it, but as time went by, I found myself enjoying and appreciating how much the two of them got along with each other. Maybe it was because I didn’t feel that the prince had many friends that he could interact and relate with in this way. Although I knew that it might not be my place to be concerned about him, I couldn’t help worrying that the prince might feel lonely at times.
"Next time, you should visit me alone without bringing him along," Roxanna said before winking at me.
"Excuse me, but I’m the one who brought her along," the prince replied sharply.
"That doesn’t matter. In the future, Mila, visit me," Roxanna said before beaming me another smile.
I could feel the intense rivalry between the two of them.
"Mila is my mate; she will stay with me and go with me wherever I go," the prince asserted darkly.
"Mila is my dear friend," Roxanna said as she reached for my hand before yanking on it so that I would move closer to the side of her hospital bed.
"I think that’s enough for today. You must feel so tired, so we should leave you so that you should get some rest," I suggested to bring their little argument to an end before it would blossom into something more.
"That’s unfortunate. Please visit me again soon," Roxanna said regretfully.
