Chapter 331: Shower Together
“Thank you. Thank you for buying her and saving her in the process. I...honestly cannot thank you enough for this,” I thanked him profusely as I pressed a hand against my rapidly beating heart.
“Don’t worry about it, Mila. I didn’t do it for your thanks,” he replied casually.
“Still, I need to thank you properly...” I argued before drifting off into silence.
There were just so many things that I wanted to ask him that I didn’t know where to start. Everything felt like a mess, and I wasn’t sure where to start to make sense of everything. At that moment, it felt more than enough and too good to be true that we could save Sally. Although I didn’t know what would happen to her now, I was sure that the prince would keep her safe. At least she wouldn’t be sold into something bad.
“Are you tired? You should rest,” the prince said as he got up from the sofa.
I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t tired. In fact, with all the travelling and everything that had happened, I was both physically and emotionally tired. All the anxiousness, fear, and nervousness that I felt and all the tears that I’ve cried made me feel drained of energy. However, before I could stop myself my hands had already moved to grab a hold onto the prince’s arm.
“Wait...” I whispered.
Prince Leonard turned back toward me with a questioning look on his face. That was when I realized that I wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted from him. I just didn’t want us to be apart and the prince moving away from me even just a little made me feel anxious.
“What is it?” the prince asked.
