Chapter 233: One for the Other
“What are you talking about? I don’t follow you at all,” Madame Sand said with a regrettable shake of her head.
The older woman was even more confused when she saw the calculating smirk that appeared on Asana’s lips. Due to her background, Madame Sand already knew that Asana was difficult to deal with. Although women living in the Sacred Chambers came from various backgrounds to ensure that the princes were well entertained and interested, she was surprised when a young woman with vast experience in the adult industry was sent here. To be more exact, she was purchased on contract to serve here.
Madame Sand closed her eyes and let out another sigh as she thought that she might have lost a couple of years from her lifespan just talking to Asana. However, she would be lying if she said that she wasn’t at least a tiny bit interested in what Asana had to say. Perhaps, it was possible that this young woman who had experience well beyond her years in her relevant field could see or sense something that she could not.
“That girl, Salena, I think she’s jealous of me...” Asana said before she lifted her shoulders up a little in a careless shrug.
“Is that all that you have to tell me?” Madame Sand asked while sounding clearly unimpressed.
It wasn’t at all uncommon for other honorable maidens and the maids to feel jealousy toward the maidens that have been chosen to serve the prince whether they were chosen by the princes themselves or by the committee.
“Not like that. I mean, she’s really jealous of me...” Asana tried to explain again as she shook her head form side to side slowly.
“Everyone is jealous of you because you were chosen to serve one of the princes. That much is obvious and I’m sure that this doesn’t just apply to Salena,” Madame Sand said coldly.
“Is that what you really think?” Asana asked challengingly.
