Chapter 221: What He Wants to Hear
**Ring Ring Ring**
I heard an unfamiliar ringing sound. My mind felt blurry, and my eyelids felt heavy. I had no recollection of when I fell asleep, but I must have finally fallen asleep after feeling so restless on my bed for so long. The sound of something ringing woke me up. I didn’t realize what the ringing sound was or where it was coming from at first.
After a moment of listening to it with my eyes closed, I got annoyed enough to sit up on my bed before opening my eyes. I wasn’t sure what time it was but it was probably early in the evening. My body didn’t crave for any food, and I had absolutely no appetite. I guessed that my body couldn’t handle more than one craving at the same time and it didn’t seem like my other desire would fade away anytime soon.
A glow of light caught my attention and I realized that it was in the same direction as the sound seemed to be coming from. Getting out of bed seemed like such a bother but I was certain that the ringing wouldn’t stop if I didn’t sort it out. After heaving a sigh, I swung my legs off the bed and headed towards the glow of light. I stared down at the object exhibiting light and sound in slight confusion. It had been quite some time and I had to admit that the existence of this item totally slipped my mind.
I picked up the phone that Prince Leonard had given to me and stared at the screen. Someone must have been charging this phone for me because there was no way that the battery could have lasted this long. My hand trembled and all thoughts escaped my mind when I saw the prince’s name on the screen.
He’s calling me...
A gasp escaped from me as I fumbled to answer the call. It was the first time that the prince was calling me using the phone and I wondered what he wanted. The call connected and my heart started racing faster.
“Mila...”
Prince Leonard’s familiar voice called my name from the other end of the line. If I had known that the disturbing ringing sound was the prince calling me, I would have jumped out of my bed to answer the call much sooner. The warm tone of his voice as he called my name felt like I had discovered an oasis in the middle of the desert after countless days of aimless wandering.
