Chapter 171: Searching for Answers
The door opened and then closed firmly after her and I was left all alone in my room again. Silence became my only companion and before I knew it, it was already quite late in the night. My body still felt sore, but I felt much better.
Surprisingly, it was difficult for me to fall asleep although I was supposed to be exhausted and in need of rest and I blamed it on the day-time nap that I shared with Prince Leonard before we left the hotel to head back to the palace. As I laid alone on my bed with the lights switched off my mind drifted to think of Prince Leonard again.
I wonder when I’ll get to see him again...
That night, I dreamt of something quite strange. I had no idea when I drifted off to sleep but I wouldn’t be surprised had I dreamt of Prince Leonard. After all, it seemed like my mind had been filled with nothing but him for a long while now. That was precisely why I was quite surprised when I dreamt of a very large black wolf with mesmerizing blue eyes that sparked like a frozen blue gem.
Nothing much happened in my dream. The very large black wolf was there and that was it. The wolf did not move or attempt to do anything to me. It just stood there with its beautiful blue eyes staring my way. Its intense gaze made me feel uncomfortable at first, but slowly, I felt drawn to that slightly lonely look in its eyes.

**A few days later**
After mating with Prince Leonard, I wasn’t sure what would become of our relationship. The fact that he did not say anything about that to me kept me on edge for the few days that followed. I had thought that I would see him the next evening but after waiting anxiously for him to turn up, the only person who visited me was Madame Sand.
“Prince Leonard appears to be busy and has not requested for you,” she told me simply.
