Chapter 65: Setting Him Free
Although I said that, I wasn’t even sure if I could remove the chains to free him. My eyes traveled along the chains as my mind worked hard to figure out how to start freeing him. Suddenly, my eyes fell on a very large lock that seemed to be holding the chains together.
“Please wait just a while longer,” I whispered when I finally found a way to free him.
All I need to do is unlock this lock and to do that I needed a key.
A key...I need a key...
‘What is this for?’
‘You’ll figure it out when you’re inside,’
Prince Darius said that after he gave me the key. That key that he gave me is for this lock. Is that it?
Does he want me to unlock and free his brother?
I was so confused, and my hands wouldn’t stop trembling as they held the large and heavy key in my hand. While biting down on my lower lip to help myself focus on the task at hand, I reached for the large lock and began fumbling with it. The large chains holding the prince down were thick and so heavy. I could hardly move it even by pulling on it with both hands. I couldn’t hold the chain properly while still holding the large key. I changed my approach to fumble with the lock instead as I tried to fit the key into it.
