Chapter 60: Two Lovers
“You may open your eyes,” he told her after he had completely reverted back to his human form.
It took him almost all his life to manage to do this much. Controlling the beast inside of him hadn’t been easy and he still wasn’t sure whether or not he had complete control over the beast. Being born an Ultimate Alpha meant that the wolf inside of him was strong and at the same time, that meant that he was a wolf strong and talented enough to lead this kingdom just like wolves in the wild can lead their packs. Although, he wasn’t interested in leading anything like that in this life.
Linda opened her eyes again and once again she was surprised that the beast from before had disappeared, and it was just the handsome Prince Darius in front of her once more.
“Don’t ever tell anyone about what I just showed you. Do you understand?” Darius asked and his tone was dead serious.
“I won’t ever tell anyone,” Linda promised without a second thought.
She closed her eyes as the prince’s face approached her. Linda thought that he would kiss her lips; however, the soft and warm sensation of his lips on her forehead was a reward that felt even more special than the passionate kisses that they shared previously.
“Thank you, Linda,” Darius whispered close to her ear.
Darius wasted no time after giving her that parting kiss. The prince grabbed some clothes from his closet and made his way out of the room before Linda would say anything else to him. No matter what she said or did, he wouldn’t stop to deal with her anymore. There was something very important that he had to do and there was an important place that he had to be, and time was running out. Now that he’s fulfilled what is expected of him as the second prince of this kingdom, no one could complain or blame him for what he was about to do next.
The night of the full moon wasn’t going to last forever.
