Chapter 628 - 10.23 Let Me In
Lu Yizhou knew that the concept of ’love’ would be too abstract for the youth. However, there was no way he would not recognize ’desire’. As such, he boldly confessed, "Because I want you." Disregarding the obvious shock in the other’s features, Lu Yizhou grasped a lock of silken hair and brought it to his lips. "I want you. Your body, your heart, your soul — everything."
It took Pandora a few moments to choke out, "Then the reason why you intervene back in the tailor room—"
"I don’t want him to talk to you." He stared intensely into those mesmerizing golden eyes which had seen through the vicissitudes of life yet still sparkling with pure innocence at the same time. It was slowly driving him crazy how much he wanted to taint this innocence with his own color. "I don’t like the way he looks at you. I don’t like how close he is to you. Am I that hard to understand?"
Pandora was still staring at him in shock and bafflement. His lips opened and closed, yet nothing came out even after a while. This had gone completely out of his control. He had no idea how to respond to such a passionate declaration...
Then, Lu Yizhou smiled, not the gentle and affectionate smile he had always shown, but a dark and bewitching one, almost like a devil who had locked in on his prey. The effect on Pandora was spontaneous, his mind went utterly blank and he could do nothing but sway into Lu Yizhou’s arms. The heat of Lu Yizhou around him was all-encompassing, unrestrained and oppressive, thawing the coldness deep inside his soul and igniting a blazing fire he had never known existed before.
Lu Yizhou was immensely pleased to see that only his figure reflected in Pandora’s eyes. He did not know that he could be so possessive before. Perhaps it was his lover who rubbed off on him, or perhaps... the awareness that this would be his last simulation; his last ’firsts’ with his lover that caused him to be more enthusiastic and reckless. He only knew that... he wanted to love the person in his arms to death. Damn it! He would not stop until Pandora knew the extent of his desire for him!
"Answer me," he leaned in further until their lips barely touched each other, their breath intermingling with each other. "Do you understand me, Pandora?"
Pandora swallowed audibly and his breathing turned uneven. He could not think, not when Lu Yizhou was in such a close reach, not when Lu Yizhou was staring at him with those piercing eyes of his. Pandora felt panic building in his chest as seconds ticked by. W–What was he supposed to say?!
"If you don’t answer, then I will take it as a yes."
