What should he say in this kind of situation? He actually felt that what Percy said made perfect sense! He belonged to no one but himself, it’s up to him whom he wanted to talk to! Alas, his instinct told him that... if he dared to say something like this to Lu Yizhou’s face, then the one who would be torn into pieces was not Percy... but him.
Pandora was rendered speechless by his own thoughts. How was it possible for this human to dominate and oppress him?! It was very illogical!
Once again, Pandora felt a dire need to gain an upper hand between them. This was not allowed to go on any longer! Who knows what might happen in the future if he allowed Lu Yizhou to have his way? As such, he ignored the glaring warning in his mind, lifted his chin and haughtily declared. "He’s right. I am not yours. Who do you think you are to tell me what to do?"
Almost immediately, he sensed the temperature around them plunged to the freezing point. He had expected Lu Yizhou to get humiliated at being rebuked, to lose his cool and get angry — or better, to realize that he had no authority whatsoever over Pandora and Pandora would always be the superior of the two. Then after that, the man might change his unruly ways and treat Pandora with the respect and fear he deserved. He had imagined so many reactions but... never had he foreseen that he would see an intense flash of hurt in Lu Yizhou’s eyes, as though what Pandora said had struck him right on the gut.

Lu Yizhou’s silver eyes dimmed considerably and he abruptly let go of the youth’s chin. Then without saying anything else, he turned away and briskly walked out of the room.
An unprecedented sense of doom overwhelmed Pandora’s heart as he stared at Lu Yizhou’s retreating back in full-blown panic. His hand reflexively shot out to grab onto Lu Yizhou, but in the end, before it could make contact, Pandora forced himself to stop. His brows furrowed deeply. Why... did he want to hold Lu Yizhou back? Wasn’t it good that he had made his point clear? Wasn’t this what he had always wanted?
But why did he feel like... he had made a grave mistake?
