In Greek mythology, the box in Pandora’s possession contained all of the evil and misery in the world. Then she opened it and set them free, casting great disaster and misfortune upon humankind.
The youth’s words had given Lu Yizhou some insights. To begin with, ’Pandora’ was only a nickname that Percy had heard from his mother. Until now, it was still unclear where the woman had heard it from. Then, because of the unreliable narrator in the original plot, Lu Yizhou subconsciously assumed that ’Pandora’ referred to his lover.
Could it be... the youth was born from the resentment of thousands of souls which were trapped in the prison from the bloody tragedy, and he was trapped here until someone would set him free? A brief surprise flashed through the youth’s golden eyes at Lu Yizhou’s mild reaction. Going by the usual practice, wouldn’t humans scurry away from fear right now? He blinked and the gaze he directed toward Lu Yizhou gained a new kind of interest. "Up to you. You can also call me Pandora if you’d like. Take it as a special treatment. After all, only you are able to hear my voice in this place."
"Only me...?" Lu Yizhou asked, surprised. He had assumed that... everyone in the prison was able to hear him. Otherwise, where did the strange happenings come from?
Pandora nodded and his long hair slipped in front of his face. Some strands had even swept across the dirty ground. Lu Yizhou’s fingers itched to tie it for him. Yet for some reason, when he wanted to take a step forward, he found that his body was unable to move as if there was an invisible chain restraining his limbs.
