Villain Saving System (BL)

Chapter 438 - 8.38 W-What The Fudge?!

Of course, that was all but a speculation. But at this rate, Lu Yizhou was going to be so paranoid and suspect everyone. He might even come to doubt the protagonists sooner or later despite knowing that it was impossible. They were the protagonists for a reason. Killing a teammate was an act so heinous that it could only be done by the most despicable person.

But why...? Of all people, why was Diana the one who’s killed?

"Wait—Wait a minute," Olivia finally marched into the room, her eyes firmly trained on Ailín. "You’re a police officer?"

"I..." Ailín seemed to hesitate a bit but then his shoulder deflated as he admitted, "I was fired recently but yes, I used to be a police officer."

"You...!" Olivia looked at him up and down, hating that iron couldn’t become steel[1]. In the end, she just threw her hands up in the air and blurted out in an accusing tone, "So how could you become like this?! All you do all day is drink, drink and drink! You didn’t even know if your roommate was alive or not! It certainly wasn’t because you didn’t pay attention but you were too wasted to care, am I right?! If you had just been a little more alert, then she wouldn’t have died right now!"

All colors drained from Ailín’s face at that barrage of words. Heavy silence reigned in the room and the only sound was Olivia’s heavy breathing.

Bravo, Miss Olivia. If the situation had not been so serious, Lu Yizhou would have clapped to show his appreciation. Olivia might be rude, bratty and standoffish but she always wore her heart on her sleeves, did not hesitate to convey her thoughts and was more straightforward than anyone. She was just the perfect person Lu Yizhou needed to gauge Ailín’s reaction.

Certainly, Ailín hadn’t expected to be blamed out right in the open after the remorse he had shown. If a person had the slightest bit of tact, then they would have sympathized with him and tried to cheer him up. But unfortunately, he met Olivia, this no-nonsense, poisonous tongued woman with a surprisingly sharp instinct.

Lu Yizhou carefully stepped aside to observe Ailín’s reaction — no, he was not alone. He had two additional pairs of eyes to help him analyze.
