Chapter 374 - 7.64 Fight Or Fuck?
"All of them?" Moshe burst out in laughter, unrestrained. He was currently lounging on the highest floor of the training center. The wall in front of him was planted with large screens to monitor the event from many optimum angles. He swirled the glass in his hand, watching the crimson liquid sloshing around, eyes shining with mirth. If anyone other than Lu Yizhou were to say something like that, he would teach them a lesson to let them know their place! But for some reason, Moshe only felt it was very funny when it came to his pet. "He really said that?"
"Boss..." He could hear how hard Kaede was rolling his eyes through that one word. He couldn’t help but laugh again. "There are fifty eight people that have signed up to join this event and they have all trained just for this day. We are planning to take three winners and your... pet isn’t included, remember?"
"Oh, I have signed him up." Moshe replied gleefully as if he hadn’t just caused Kaede to choke on his breath. "From now on, he is one of the participants."
"Boss!" Kaede exclaimed after his coughing spell subsided. "He–He is just a gladiator fighter! Do you think he will win against these professionally trained people?!"
Moshe’s smile faded, so did the amusement in his eyes. He wouldn’t have a problem if Kaede was pointing out the errors in his work but not this. Lu Yizhou was his pet and no one could tell him what he should do with his pet. "I think you have forgotten your place lately, Kaede. Do you need me to remind you again?"
There was a sharp inhale from the other end of the line. "No, Boss." Kaede muttered quietly. "I have stepped out of line. Please forgive me."
Satisfied, Moshe downed the wine and placed the glass on the small table beside him. "This is your second warning," he said with a threatening air in his tone. "One more time and I won’t tolerate it any longer."
"Y–Yes, sir!"
"As for him..." Moshe’s eyes drifted to one particular screen where Lu Yizhou was sitting in the waiting room silently, still blindfolded. His grin sharpened, almost savage in its excitement. He couldn’t wait to see what kind of surprise Lu Yizhou would show him later. "Let him do whatever he wants."
