Chapter 349 - 7.39 You’re Not Aiden
Moshe was confused. Very, very confused. He had no idea what Aiden was talking about to make him so emotional. Whatever it was, it seemed like the man was truly remorseful. But what confused him more was his own reaction.
Angry, of course. Moshe was his owner, he had done a thorough background on his pet but still, there was just so many things about Aiden that remained as a mystery up until this day. There was someone important in his pet’s heart enough to make him call out to them when he was delirious. How could he not be angry?!
But piled atop of the boiling anger was a strange, unfamiliar ache that slowly tugged on his heart. It felt sore like pressing on a bruise and the pain would persist for some time even when you already pulled away until gradually... it turned numb. But still, you couldn’t ignore the bruise and found yourself pressing on it again. Hence, the cycle of pain, soreness and numbness repeated. Why was he feeling like this? Don’t tell him that he would be so foolish as to have his heart ached for this disloyal pet who dared to cry for another person!
Moshe was angry, distressed and concerned. Fear still lingered on his heart, courtesy to the time when Aiden kept on pushing him away again and again, uncaring of his own bleeding wounds. He had no idea that a single person could evoke emotions deep within his heart like this. But Aiden had always done it, hadn’t he...? He had transformed Moshe until he couldn’t quite recognize himself anymore. But the most irritating thing was, that person was currently mourning for somebody else!
Moshe suppressed the irritation and carefully patted Lu Yizhou’s head. "If you keep crying like this, I won’t forgive you."
The effect was immediate as Lu Yizhou’s body stilled. He even ceased breathing. Good, Moshe hummed, still as obedient as always.
Slowly, Moshe guided him back until his legs bumped against the bed. With just a single push, Lu Yizhou fell backward with a thump, groaning as the quick movement made him dizzy again.
Moshe climbed up the bed on one knee and hovered above him, his gaze inscrutable. "Rule number four." He said whilst grabbing Lu Yizhou’s chin, forcing the glazed misty eyes to focus on him. "No more sorrys except when I demand you to."
He instinctively loathed to hear that word, for some reason he couldn’t comprehend.
