Chapter 338 - 7.28 Can’t Hold A Candle
Since that day, a new gate seemed to have been opened for both of them. Moshe was addicted, he couldn’t get enough of playing with his pet. It was like he was relieving his firsts all over again again. Aiden was enthralling, captivating, divine... A piece of artwork Moshe would like to worship every single day.
He held no fear nor hesitation that Aiden wouldn’t accept what he had given him. Somehow, deep inside him Moshe knew that Aiden could take them all, that his pet was also feeling the thrill and pleasure like he did — no, even more than that. It was like every piece of him was carved just to cater to Moshe’s wishes.
He was more than perfect.
Moshe thought that the novelty would slowly wear off if he messed with Aiden again and again. And oh how wrong he was. The boredom Moshe had been anticipating didn’t come. Instead, every sound Aiden made, every twitch of his brows, every shift of his body, Moshe found himself cataloguing every single one of them and still wanting more.
And just like that, two months passed by.
"Boss..." Kaede shuffled on his feet hesitantly. It was rare to see him hemming and hawing. Moshe shot him an impatient look, causing Kaede to straighten up and blurt out without thinking, "Don’t you think that you’re too invested in your... your new toy?"
"Aiden is not a ’toy’," Moshe corrected with a dark face. "Don’t compare him to those cheap things. He’s my pet. What’s wrong with being invested with my pet?"
"But Boss..." There were so many wrong things Kaede wished he had the courage to address. First and foremost, Kaede would usually find Moshe working in his study even before dawn fully broke. But now, the guards had to make a roster among themselves so that someone would risk their life to knock on Moshe’s private room at 8 am, otherwise who knew when he would show up?!
Second, he was often distracted when checking over important documents. Once Kaede was silly enough to ask what was in his mind and Moshe absentmindedly asked him, "Do you think my pet will be bored if I leave him alone at home?" What kind of question was that! Kaede was so bamboozled that he didn’t want to say a peep for the rest of the day. Exactly who was this man and what had he done to his boss?! Kaede had known Moshe for more than a decade. ’Moshe’ and ’distracted’ were two words that should have never been put together!
