Villain Saving System (BL)

Chapter 249 - 6.9 Jillian’s Madness

Lu Yizhou could only watch helplessly as Jillian fussed over him nonstop ever since the man entered his room. He started with adding firewood to make the temperature warmer, then pulling off his fluffy mattress and pillows to make a perfect throne for Lu Yizhou to sit on. Now it had been almost an hour and he still wasn’t satisfied yet.

"No." He assessed the pillow fort on his bed with a scowl. "This won’t do. The arrangement is just too crude. How can I let you settle down like this?"

It’s okay, Lu Yizhou wanted to say. Just you noticing my existence is already more than enough.

These past few days, Lu Yizhou had truly learned the pain of being overlooked. It wasn’t that he was being needy— okay, fine. He was, a bit. He might be just a tad unreconciled that he was stuck in his invisible form and could only see without being able to touch or speak. Lu Yizhou had always thought he was a fairly independent and reclusive person — no, spirit — but each day passed without any interaction with Jillian had driven him to the edge of insanity a few times more than he could count.

He had tried to get Jillian’s attention by pulling childish pranks like waving the curtain, trailing him whenever he went, and he even helped Jillian to find the things he had misplaced — and as much as he didn’t want to admit, he enjoyed the fear from the servants in the manor when he did them.

Alas, every single time, his effort went down the drain as Jillian remained oblivious. In the end, all those shenanigans only added to his fatigue and earned him another round of nagging from Cyrus, warning him that he would fall into slumber sooner or later if he kept this going. As a result, he grew more and more irritable and every time his mood turned a dip to the worse, the weather would follow along, adding on to the prolonged winter and fierce blizzard.

Cyrus might have taken a pity on his pathetic pining that in the end, he suggested that Lu Yizhou use a doll as his vessel so he could stay by Jillian’s side; his lover would no longer be able to deny his existence this way and he had also confirmed it with 666 that in the original plot, Jillian had built a gold statue for him. A fucking gold statue with diamonds under his feet. Lu Yizhou felt an oncoming headache just by imagining it. Either way, he was helping Jillian to choose a vessel and reached the goal in the end so it couldn’t be considered as OOC.

And voilà, here he was.

Jillian once again dismantled the pillow fort he had built and started again from its base with folding the blanket so it might serve as an elevated platform then arranged the pillows on either side of it. He adjusted the settings a few times before he was barely appeased. Then with a very careful movement, he lifted Lu Yizhou up from where he had been sitting atop of the nightstand so that he could finally claim the throne Jillian had made.
