Chapter 226 - 5.36 Say It Again [M]
Terra closed the website two hours later, red-faced and slightly lightheaded. The obscene images and sounds were burned into the back of his eyelids and every time when it got to the steamy point, he had to pause a few minutes so as to let his bodily reaction calm down before continuing. He staggered toward the door, breathless even though it was unclear whether it was due to the porn he had just watched or because of the lack of sleep.
At first, Terra tried to knock but after not receiving any answer, he recalled Doctor Wyatt saying the room was soundproof. Silently heaving a sigh, Terra mustered his not so large courage and slid the door open carefully.
It was a spacious room without a window and the light was dimmed to its maximum enough for Terra to discern the single king size bed in the middle of the room. He gingerly stepped in and closed the door behind him, willing his thundering heartbeat to calm down. His eyes instantly adjusted to the dark and his attention was quickly drawn to the figure atop of the bed.
Lu Yizhou was sleeping soundly, his breathing deep and long.
The realization caused Terra’s knees to weaken and he had to lean against the door for a few minutes to regain his strength, taking in large gulps of air. Relief and disappointment clashed inside him, unable to outwin each other. In the end, the urge to see Lu Yizhou closer and confirm that he was fine overpowered everything and before Terra knew it, he had crossed the room and stood by the bed, his toes curling against the soft, fluffy rug.
Beautiful, he breathed. Terra had no idea when he would be able to wake up one day and not be startled by the sentinel’s ethereal features. He looked much softer when sleeping, devoid of the sharp gaze and the perpetual frown between his brows. His hair splayed spread across the pillow, the jet black color contrasting to the white sheet. Terra’s heart ached when he saw the cut across his cheek, it didn’t diminish his beauty of course, but Terra still felt white fury coursed through him whenever he was reminded of the blood Lu Yizhou had spilled.
It was so rare for Terra to see him sleeping because every single time, Lu Yizhou would always be the one who roused first. It made him wonder whether the man had gotten enough sleep. Terra found out on one rare occasion where he couldn’t fall asleep and simply lay in the sentinel’s embrace that Lu Yizhou didn’t sleep much later after he did. He simply wasted the time drawing circles on Terra’s back, stroking his hair, pressing soft kisses on his temple once in a while. Honestly, everything Lu Yizhou did was going to make Terra melt into a pile of goo.
Indulging himself in taking in the man’s features as long as he could, Terra finally averted his gaze away and he almost choked on his breath when he belatedly realized that the man was bare on top! Of course, of course he would be naked. Doctor Wyatt had already told him about that. Nevertheless, the thought that Lu Yizhou’s nudity was only covered by a thin sheet of silk blanket was enough to make the blood rush to Terra’s head, making him even dizzier.
The silk blanket was pulled over to his neck, presumably to chase off the cold air, and from Terra’s position, he could catch a glimpse of sharp collarbones and the broad muscles of his shoulders.
