Chapter 115 - 3.55 I Do
The wedding was held in a breathtaking cathedral that was built with a glass rooftop, encasing the display of sparkling stars of the night. The guests poured in when evening arrived and were guided to their respective seats. Soft music was playing in the background and petals of roses — as per Oliver’s request — were floating down like a gentle shower rain. Red silk hung on the ceiling and the chandelier burned with an amber glow, adding on to the exquisite and dreamy atmosphere. Chatters could be heard intermittently, excited ones, courtesy to the schoolmates who were lucky to be invited as a witness for the royal wedding in person and inquiring ones, whispers from those who came from kingdoms afar. Elite Guards were stationed in every corner and more were hiding in the dark, unseen unless the situation called for it.
Hidden amongst the crowd was Ryan, wearing a formal tuxedo suit with his hair styled immaculately. If one looked closer, one might notice that beneath his leisure and nonchalant exterior, there was an underlying anticipation and nervousness.
"Her Highness, Princess Rosemane Alaze!" The guard announced her arrival and the hushed whispers died down immediately.
The gate swung open and Princess Rosemane stepped in, dressed to the nine in an exquisite crimson layered gown that was encrusted with hundreds of small diamonds, a blue ribbon tied around her neck, the color matched with her mane accessories. All eyes turned to the horse omega in an instant, scrutinizing and curious, trying to gauge the truth from the rumor that had spread widely all over the kingdom. They were disappointed that they couldn’t find anything because Princess Rosemane was acting like her usual self; haughty, proud with her chin lifted high and spine straight. Her mane had been cut shorter but it was none unusual. It could just be a change of fashion. Princess Rosemane was acting like she was the star of the day, beaming and waving at the camera drones that were following her.
Princess Rosemane took their seats, her eyes surreptitiously swept over the crowd and made eye contact with the leopard Alpha. Upon receiving one briefest nod, she showed a wider and genuinely happy smile. No one noticed the silent exchange, they merely thought that rumors couldn’t be trusted. Look at how joyous Princess Rosemane was. The rumor that her relationship with Prince Oliver was estranged must be a slander!
Next, the guard announced Prince Altair’s arrival. Muffled screams were heard from a few corners as the gate swung open again to reveal the winged beastman. Without even batting an eyelid to the flashing camera light, Lu Yizhou walked down the aisle in large, steady steps and took his place in front of the podium. He fixed his stare on the other door, waiting for Oliver to appear from behind it.
"Oh gosh, he’s sooo handsome! I thought he’s already gorgeous enough but Prince Altair in a suit is simply ethereal!"
"I really envy Prince Oliver who can marry him! Why can’t I be the one?!"
"Hush, then you need to be a prince yourself first, okay?"
