Chapter 93 - 3.33 In Front Of Everyone
The crowd went so wild that the Elite Guards the Emperor dispatched could no longer contain them. They surged forward like tides, a series of screams and exclamations shot through the roof. The Beta MC stood on stage with a helpless look. Surely, the match ought to be postponed for a while until the whole situation was brought under control.
"Your Highness Altair, is this a proposal?! Are you proposing right now?!"
"Have you two been together for a long time?!"
"Is this some kind of conspiracy between two kingdoms or are you two really in love with each other?"
Lu Yizhou frowned. So noisy. One question overlapped with the other and in the end, none was registered in his mind except for some random screaming and noisy buzz. And what did they mean by conspiracy? Vexed, Lu Yizhou reached for Oliver’s waist and pulled him closer until their body was flushed against each other, taking the omega off guard. Lu Yizhou had no idea what he was thinking—or maybe he wasn’t thinking at all. Because his head throbbed and his whole body ached. It was annoying and the last thing he wanted was random people spreading doubt about his relationship with Oliver.
So Lu Yizhou did it. He kissed Oliver in front of everyone, with the camera still rolling and broadcasted to the whole kingdom. The crowd abruptly stilled, silent as if someone had just pressed the pause button. Not even a hint of breathing could be heard.
Oliver made a surprised noise in his throat and Lu Yizhou felt his eyelashes tickling his cheeks. His whole body tensed and sensing that, Lu Yizhou let out a strand of comforting pheromones and just like that, Oliver melted into his arms, weight leaning fully against him as he immersed himself into the kiss.
Lu Yizhou’s lips curled into a barely imperceptible smile and he slowly let go, his breath labored. Oliver’s eyes opened, his pupils wide and glassy and he looked up at Lu Yizhou with wonder and adoration as if he had been living in darkness all these while and it was the first time he had ever gazed upon the sun. His attention was sucked into Lu Yizhou and he could see nothing but Lu Yizhou. So adorable that the mere sight of it caused Lu Yizhou’s heart to tighten. The Alpha within him was also satisfied to perceive what kind of effect he had on Oliver.
He let his scent cover Oliver’s body and satisfaction bloomed on his chest when the omega’s body shuddered. Judging from the weight on his arm, Lu Yizhou was sure that Oliver’s knees would have buckled if he let go. Lu Yizhou raised his eyes and caught sight of the camera. It wasn’t exaggerating to say that Lu Yizhou had completely forgotten that they were in a public place and furthermore, the center of everyone’s attention. Just the thought of anyone landing their eyes on Oliver displeased him and he abruptly swept Oliver off his feet, taking the omega into his arms in a tight embrace.
