Chapter 76 - 3.16 Move In

The condo was only half an hour’s time from the Royal Palace, situated in a high-end residential complex where every single house was enough to feed a family of five for a lifetime. And Altair’s condo was the biggest, most luxurious and beautiful, and also kind of separated from the others. Oliver couldn’t resist blushing once they arrived. Why...did it seem like they were going to have the world to themselves?

Of course Lu Yizhou had no idea what kind of dirty play was running in Oliver’s mind. The detector above the door emitted soft blue light and scanned him up and down before a light ding was heard. [Welcome home, Master.] The door then clicked open. Hearing no signs of movement around, he turned to see Oliver still standing by the car, fidgeting for some reason he couldn’t fathom. "What are you doing there? Come here." He beckoned.

Oliver whipped his head up, his pitch came out higher than expected. "O—Oh!" He bit his lips and gingerly prodded to Lu Yizhou. He was taken off guard when Lu Yizhou suddenly pulled him closer and placed him right in front, his palms resting snugly on Oliver’s shoulder.

Oliver’s heart skipped a beat and he strived to ignore the heat emanating from Lu Yizhou’s back to pay attention to what he said.

"See that detector?" Lu Yizhou pointed up and upon receiving Oliver’s nod, continued but the words didn’t directed to him. "Give him the same authority as me."

A beep sounded followed by another incandescent glow that scanned Oliver’s body. [Command recognized. May I know your esteemed name, Second Master?]

Oliver blinked and his brain finally caught up to what was happening. He gasped and turned to Lu Yizhou, eyes disbelieving. "How can you grant me access just like that? This is your home!" Giving Oliver the same authority... exactly how much trust did Altair put in him?! Oliver blushed despite himself, half flattered and half exasperated. Fortunately, the Alpha didn’t seem to realize the predicament he was in and merely tousled the Omega’s hair gently and brushed past him to go inside.

Dissatisfied with the Alpha’s lack of answer, Oliver chased after him, huffing. "Altair!"

The interior was decorated elegantly. The living room greeted Oliver’s sight as soon as he came in with a large TV that was planted to the wall and comfy looking sofa. Lu Yizhou was already at the bottom of the stairs, beckoning at him, still with no intention to fulfill Oliver’s curiosity. One thing the omega gradually learned about him; even though he was gentle and suave and sexy as hell, he was also exceedingly stubborn and nonchalant. He disliked speaking if he didn’t have to and he didn’t care if he would be misunderstood. That trait of his made Oliver frustrated and helplessly in love with him at the same time. Realizing that he wouldn’t be able to dig an adequate answer out of the Alpha, Oliver resigned to follow him to the second floor. Faintly, the hallway in front of him looked familiar; cinnamon wood tiles, creamy walls, an antique vase atop of the cabinet with stalks of fresh roses, perked with droplets of dew hanging on the tip. He couldn’t help sniffing closer and belatedly realized that it was the sweet tinge that he could barely smell in the Alpha’s pheromones.

Rose, pine and winter scented pheromones, Oliver gulped. Could the Alpha be any sexier?
