Alpha Damon's Greatest Regret

Chapter 111- Dungeon

Damon’s pov

I was already blinded by anger that I couldn’t think of anything else. This was nothing but a betrayal of the highest order.

The drink’s sharp acrid taste lingered as if it were laced with something far more sinister than simple dishonesty. It was still coiling in my stomach like a warning burning down my throat. My hands tightened and my veins throbbed with controlled rage as I tightened my hold on the heavy crystal glass.

I had allowed her to come close to me and what I got was this.

Did she spike my drink with sleeping pills so we could have sex later on or did she add poison to it?

My head was swirling with lots of questions.

I forcefully hit the oak table with it. The room’s quietness was broken violently by the impact. Only a single droplet of the amber liquid that I had nearly drank splattered onto the wood. I looked at Trixie.

She didn’t wince. Not even for a split second.

But then I saw it. Something flashed in her dark brown eyes—guilt, fear perhaps both. But she quickly covered it up, her sensitive features hardening into another indifferent expression.

" Who were you speaking to?" I said in a low controlled voice with a steely edge.

Her lips parted a little as she blinked then forced a casual shrug.
