Chapter 76- Excuse
DAMON~
I stood in front of the giant monument, Long live David Torrence ’The Great Wolf’ it read in bold golden letter. Every time I came here and read that title I would close my eyes and hope to God that he’d wake me up from the dream that was my life, now more than ever I wanted to open my eyes and see my father with his unchanging smile staring back at me but alas I was always disappointed whenever I opened my eyes and was meant with the statue of the man I would never measure up to.
"Wish you were here Dad." I mumbled as I stepped back from the statue and walked back to Jermaine and Carlos who stood behind me "He earned the right to be called great."
"You’re the young wolf though, the youngest person to ever become an alpha, that ain’t no easy feat," Jermaine said.
"He’d be proud if he saw you," Carlos added with a warm smile in an attempt to lift my beaten-up spirit.
"I doubt that." I replied with a chuckle as I turned back to the bronze statue "If he saw me now, I doubt he’d recognize me."
"You two look exactly the same," Jermaine added, I tore my eyes away from the statue and glared at him.
"You know that’s not what I meant."
"How the fuck would I know that," Jermaine replied.
"I implied it," I yelled.
"Next time don’t imply, be specific." He said, I paused and looked at him for a few seconds and before I knew it a small chuckle escaped my mouth, then it turned louder till I was laughing loudly, Jermaine joined me in chuckling as we had just heard the funniest joke ever told, Carlos remained silent, raising a brow at our behavior with a smile on his face till our laughter eventually died down.
