"Nancy," I said.
"Yes," she answered, stepping away from my mom and walking towards me.
"Take Elliott and go get some groceries," I said as I passed Elliott to her along with my credit card but my eyes were focused on the woman who stood at the entrance of the passage.
"Ohk." she said as she put Elliott down and collected the card, she was about to walk out the door when she turned back and said "I’m really sorry, I thought—"
"It’s ok." I interrupted "Just go." I said and she left us locking the door behind me, I waited and listened till I could no longer hear the sound of her feet before I turned back to my mother.
"How dare you?" I growled.
"I’m sorry"
"You’re sorry?" I said angrily "You screwed me up and now you wanna put your baggage on my son?"
"I’m not trying to —"
"Stop" I spat angrily, my eyes watering up as I spoke.
