Chapter 33- Last Time
MICHEAL~
Slowly, I watched as she opened her eyes and raised her head as she woke up from sleep, a smile crept unto my lips as I saw strands of her brown hair scattered across her face, ’Wow’ I thought to myself as she yawned and stretched before looking back at me.
"Hey." she greeted, her voice still filled with the drowsiness of sleep.
"Hey," I responded as I closed my laptop and looked at her.
"What’s the time?"
"6 am," I answered, she groaned and lay back down on the ground.
"You’re not a morning person," I asked as a soft chuckle escaped my lips.
"No one’s a morning person." She answered drowsily.
"I am." I replied as I stood up and began arranging the books I used "I’m done, lemme take you home?" I said as I helped her to her feet.
I walked into my apartment, my body sore from the work I had been doing as I sluggishly dragged myself straight into my room, I knew I’d have to go to the meeting in a few hours but I just wanted to shut my eyes for a few seconds, I didn’t understand the sudden wave of exhaustion when I had been in her presence I had no problem being awake but as soon as I had dropped her off everything had changed, my body suddenly felt heavier and my mind fuzzy as I struggled to keep my eyes open. I crashed into the warm softness that was my bed and felt as if my body was melting into it, I let out a satisfied moan as I turned around and drew my pillow to myself and rested well, I was about to drift further into sleep when I remembered the reason I remembered the reason I was so tired.
"The pitch!" I shouted as I jumped off the bed and ran straight into the shower to take a bath before I headed out to the location of the meeting. As I hurriedly put the my clothes all my eyes were fixed on the clock that seemed to be moving three times as fast as normal, it didn’t feel like I had even closed my eyes so how did two hours pass so quickly, "8:43" I read aloud as I knotted my tie and wore my shoes, I rushed into the living drank some coffee then picked up my keys and laptop and sprinted out of the house.
