"You’re angry at me?" I said noticing the way he had tightened his fist
"I’m not angry at you," Carlos answered, making sure not to break his calm demeanor
"Then what are you angry at?" I inquired
"The world, I hate it built, I hate the way it works," he answered, his voice filled with an emotion I haven’t ever seen or heard or seen him express
"That’s just the world, Carlos, it’s not fair, it isn’t something we can change."
"Why not?, you are the Alpha, there’s no one with higher authority than you in the pack, so how can’t you change anything?"
"I’m not a prophet, I can’t fix a problem that has been there from the beginning of our existence"
"Don’t say that, ’cause you’ve never tried." He countered and I was left speechless, I couldn’t think of anything else to say in my defense, cause he was right, I had never tried to change it
