Chapter 7- Reclaiming My Son
Damon~
Morning came soon after, the bright rays of the sun shining against my face, my face twisted with discomfort as I woke up from my sleep, rising up from the floor and standing up, I stumbled forward not fully awake and stopped in front of a mirror, I saw myself staring right back at me, my green eyes glowing fiercely, the effect of cancer had yet to affect my appearance but to me, all I saw was a man defeated by his own weakness and the sight that usually made me smile filled me with wonder, for so long I had embodied the strength of the pack, what would happen when word gets out that the strongest member of the pack could no longer fight, would Silver hallow waste such an opportunity, No, I had to get back on my feet and for that, I need Zarah and Her Son, No, I needed Zarah and our Son I corrected myself as I walked into the shower, Quickly I had run my bath and dressed up in my finest clothes, if this plan was too succeed then I'd have to turn up my charm to a level that would make me seem irresistible, a big white button down silk shirt tucked into a tan corporate trouser pressed so there was not a wrinkle in sight, paired with deep black oxfords and to finish it all off i put on a black leather jacket that added a touch of mystery to my classy ensemble, I walked to my mirror and not to sound arrogant or braggy but I was taken aback by how good I looked, I walked out of the room firmly shutting the door behind me, Standing outside waiting for me was Carlos, who looked me up and down and nodded in approval, a scowl formed on my face and we began to walk to were I'd meet my companions, Carlos walking by my side, his presence stable as always. During the process, there were a lot of candidates that wanted to be my beta, But I chose Carlos simply because of the air of safety and reassurance he always had around him, it was comforting to know that even if I had a breakdown right here right now he would keep the pack functioning smoothly.
"Report" I asked as we continued walking through the hall, Carlos handed me a tablet with the screen lit displaying everything I needed to know about my son, age, name he was registered under, Address, school, grade, blood type, It was incredibly thorough, I looked through the report, taking mental notes as my eyes read through each line of information, when I was done I handed it back to him
"Are you sure about everything on the list" I asked, he nodded in response
"I supervised the collection of data and double checked every piece of information before bringing it to you"
"Good" I said as I walked into the hall where they waited for me
"Morning ladies and gents" I greeted the familiar faces
"Good morning, How are you feeling?" Daniel asked
"Better than before" I admitted trying to ease their worries as I made my way out of the room explaining the plan as we walked
"We will take two SUVs, me and Daniel would be in one While Kendra and Tom would be in the other, from here to the human sector is a three hour journey so we would get there latest by eleven, giving us enough time to familiarize with the place and blend into as regular citizens while we wait for school to reach it's close, then we would pick him up and bring him back here, Understood?"
"Understood" they all chorused as the two SUVs pulled up, the men who served as valets stepped out and we all entered and began our journey to the human sector.
