In front of me, floating above the surface of the lake and stretching up to the moon, lay the massive figure of the hero, outlined in a divine blue color.
The figure’s facial features and hair shape were identical to those of the hero I had fought and killed in the now-abandoned cathedral.
That could only mean one thing.
For them to have the previous hero’s exact characteristics when I fought him, they must have discovered his body.
The cathedral had most likely been sealed off at this point then as well.

At that moment, as a round of applause echoed from the garden below, I let out a deep sigh and looked downward.
The public still didn’t know about the previous hero’s death and most likely believed he was still on his journey to defeat the demon king.
