I Got Reincarnated as a Zombie Girl

Chapter 548 - 544 – CLASH OF SEA AUTHORITIES AND THE ARRIVAL OF TWO COSMIC RULERS

The Nocture Eclipse-Class Fleet had only sailed a few nautical miles after Sylvia erased the existence of the giant tentacle blocking their path. The Outer Ocean radiating blue bioluminescence gradually appeared calm, yet that was merely a false calm before the true storm.

Exactly as Sylvia and her group advanced through the magical fog that separated them from the Northern Sea Trench, an extreme anomaly suddenly occurred.

The seawater that had originally glowed sapphire changed color drastically into a blinding golden-blue. The pressure in the air increased thousands of times within seconds, making the two-meter-thick Black Star Steel coating the five Main Dreadnought Ships groan violently under the sudden hydrostatic and magical gravitational pressure pressing against the hulls. The waves that had previously moved wildly due to the battle of the two giant serpents in the distance now suddenly stopped. The ocean surface became as flat as a mirror, completely submitting to the will of a single entity.

On the command bridge, Celes fell to one knee. Her sacred sword trembled violently. "What kind of pressure is this?! This is not a sea monster... this is pure cosmic authority!"

Stacia, standing beside her, had to grip the tactical table to keep from fainting. Her magic grimoire flipped pages wildly, radiating bright red warnings. "Divinity fluctuations beyond maximum limits! Celes, divert all power to the Storm-Repelling Shield Formation, now!"

Outside, on the bow deck, the ocean split. From the deep ocean floor, a giant water vortex surged upward, forming a pillar of water that reached the sky. At the peak of that water pillar stood a figure radiating an unmatched aura of divine arrogance.

It was Poseidon.

The Greek Sea God who had risen again wore golden armor made from the scales of an ancient sea dragon. The golden trident in his hand radiated flashes of sea lightning that struck repeatedly. His ocean-deep blue eyes locked straight onto the main bridge of the Dreadnought, piercing through the energy shield, and fixed their gaze precisely on Sylvia.

Poseidon’s gaze was filled with boiling hatred and rage. He of course had not forgotten how Sylvia had destroyed the Storm Sea King, the entity that had swallowed a spark of his divinity and how Sylvia’s very existence had always been a threat to his domain. The presence of the Queen of Death in the Outer Ocean was regarded as a direct invasion of his kingdom.

"Mortal creature who has exceeded her limits!" Poseidon’s voice echoed, not spoken through the air, but detonated directly into the minds of every being in the fleet. His voice made the crew on the lower decks vomit blood. "How dare you defile my Outer Ocean with your scrap-metal machines and rotting corpses!"

Yet in the midst of that divine pressure capable of shattering ordinary human souls, Sylvia remained seated calmly at the edge of the deck. Her legs were crossed elegantly, and her black gown did not flutter even slightly, as if Poseidon’s divine storm winds had no permission to touch her.

As a Rank 7 Demigod who held the Domain of Absolute Death, Sylvia was completely unaffected by the pressure. She stared at Poseidon with her heterochromia eyes radiating extraordinary boredom.

"So noisy," Sylvia muttered, picking up her still-warm teacup. "I thought you were still busy hiding in your dimensional marble temple while crying in fear. What brings you out of your hiding hole, Sea God? Do you want to offer yourself as an appetizer before I eat Jormungandr?"

Poseidon’s face flushed red from the devastating insult. Bringing up the fact that he had been hiding in the marble temple out of fear of the Primordial Goddess Persephone was a heavy blow to his divine ego.

"Watch your filthy and arrogant mouth, Queen of Death! I will bury you and your entire fleet at the bottom of the deepest trench!"

Poseidon raised his Golden Trident high. The entire Outer Ocean responded. The seawater surrounding the Nocture fleet rose, forming thousands of high-pressure water spears the size of mountains. If that attack were unleashed, even Black Star Steel would not be able to save them.

Yet exactly when Poseidon was about to swing his trident and release the power of the sea to destroy Sylvia, something unexpected occurred.

Suddenly the giant water spears collapsed back into foam. Poseidon’s control over the ocean fractured and shattered into pieces. The golden-blue color of the water was abruptly contaminated by swirling grayish-green currents that were freezing and extremely wild.

"What?! Who dares interfere with my oceanic authority?!" Poseidon roared, turning toward the east.

From behind that grayish water vortex, a rough, mocking laugh thundered. A giant Viking longship made of solid ice and monster bones burst through the water surface. At its bow stood the Sea God of Nordic mythology, Aegir (or in some manifestations called Njord). His body was covered in glowing tattoos, his thick beard was filled with sea foam, and he held a giant drinking horn filled with divine mead.

"Hahahaha! Look at yourself, Poseidon! Raging at a little pale-skinned girl while you can’t even keep your pants dry when the Primordial Goddess coughs!" the Nordic Sea God mocked.

His arrival in the Outer Ocean this time was not at all to defend Sylvia, nor to fight over territory. His intention was extremely simple and childish: he simply wanted to annoy Poseidon and make him feel disgusted. Rivalry between ancient god pantheons after Earth expanded a hundredfold was always filled with this kind of mischief.

"You... Barbarian God of the North! Get out of my territory!" Poseidon aimed his trident, his eyes glowing with killing intent.

"Your territory? Bah!" the Nordic god spat into the ocean. "I just came by to watch my pet giant lizard, Jormungandr, choke that envious serpent. But seeing your arrogant Greek face makes my beer taste flat. Come on, show me whether that golden trident of yours can scratch my back!"

The two sea gods radiated massive divine pressure at each other. The clash between Mediterranean Sea Authority and Northern Sea Authority created a spatial storm between them. Space cracked, and cosmic lightning struck uncontrollably. If these two god-level entities began fighting here, the Nocture fleet might be dragged into destruction unintentionally.

Celes and Stacia were already preparing for the worst possibility, activating every remaining defensive rune.

Yet Sylvia only sighed. She was just about to flick her fingers to drive away those two troublesome gods when suddenly the reality beside her lounge chair split with extreme subtlety, as if space itself were a sheet of silk cut by a hot knife.

There was no explosion, no storm, yet in that instant all pressure from both Sea Gods vanished without a trace. The ocean immediately fell into dead silence. Poseidon and the Nordic Sea God froze in place, their eyes widening with pure terror.

From within that spatial tear, two women of beauty beyond reason stepped out.

To Sylvia’s right stood her adoptive mother, the Primordial Goddess Persephone. Yet her appearance was now far more terrifying and majestic than before. Her gown was woven from galaxies and absolute darkness. Persephone was no longer merely the Goddess of the Underworld. Her energy fluctuations explained everything: she had not only fully absorbed the divinity of her husband Hades, but she had also consumed and absorbed the existence of Nyx, the Primordial Goddess of Night who had long been sealed in the deepest depths of the underworld. The fusion of Ancient Death Authority and Cosmic Night placed Persephone on a level untouched by any god of the past era.

To Sylvia’s left stood a woman in a white gown woven from the planet’s ley lines. Her eyes radiated the green of life and the brown of earth, continuously rotating. She was the World Avatar, the representation of Earth’s own will. Her existence radiated pressure that made gravity submit. This World Avatar had also surpassed her primal limits. She had forcibly taken the throne of Gaia; she had swallowed the core of that ancient Earth Goddess. So there was no longer a Goddess Gaia now. The legitimate ruler of the earth at present was the World Avatar herself, standing without the interference of any other person or god.

The power of the two of them currently clearly surpassed the primordial gods. They were the laws of nature themselves.

"Mother? And... Lady Earth?" Sylvia raised one eyebrow, not surprised, yet slightly curious. "What brings the two of you here? Do you want to join me for roasted serpent dinner?"

Persephone smiled gently toward her adoptive daughter, maternal affection radiating from her dark night eyes. "Of course Mother will make time for dinner with her beloved daughter. But before that, it seems there are a few pests trying to disturb your playtime."

Persephone’s eyes shifted from Sylvia toward the water pillar where Poseidon stood. Her maternal smile vanished without a trace, replaced by absolute deathly emptiness.

Poseidon, who had previously radiated overflowing rage and arrogance, now trembled violently. The golden trident in his hand nearly slipped. His memories of the terror of Persephone returned to haunt him, and now that terror was multiplied because he could sense the aura of Nyx within the goddess.

The World Avatar stepped forward one pace. The air hummed loudly. She tilted her neck slightly, staring straight at Poseidon and the Nordic Sea God in turn.

"Old gods," the World Avatar’s voice sounded flat, yet it resonated in the core of every atom in the Outer Ocean. "You seem to have forgotten the rules I established after this earth evolved and expanded."

The Nordic Sea God who had previously laughed arrogantly now fell completely silent; his mead horn fell into the sea without him noticing. Cold sweat flowed down his tattooed forehead.

"This world belongs to me, no longer a playground for you," the World Avatar continued, her voice filled with absolute authority. "The current cosmic rules are very clear: Upper-level gods are strictly forbidden from fighting in this primary dimension. Your physical presence in the mortal world is permitted only for brief descents to gather faith and prayers from your followers. Not to trigger tsunami catastrophes or destroy ecosystems."

Persephone raised one hand gracefully. At her fingertip, a marble-sized sphere of absolute darkness spun. "And this foolish Greek sea god actually intended to use his full authority to destroy my daughter. World Avatar, am I permitted to erase the Mediterranean pantheon from history today as well?"

Poseidon gasped, stepping backward on his water pillar. "W-Wait! Persephone! I... I was only warning her! She killed my servant!"

"My daughter can kill whoever she wants," Persephone cut in with a tone as cold as ice. "If you do not immediately disappear from my sight within three seconds, I will ensure your soul becomes fuel for the furnaces in my world for eternity."

The World Avatar added, "And I will erase your ocean and replace it with desert. The choice is in both of your hands. Return to your original domains, gather your faith in silence, or be annihilated."

There was no room for negotiation. The power gap separating Poseidon and Aegir from Persephone and the World Avatar was currently too steep like the chasm between ordinary humans and gods.

Without wasting a single second, the Nordic Sea God laughed awkwardly. "Haha... ha... the weather here is apparently too hot for the Northern pantheon! I need to check whether I’ve fed my polar bears. Excuse me, Lady Rulers!"

With a quick wave of his hand, his Viking ice ship shattered back into water and the figure of the Nordic Sea God vanished, fleeing into the depths of the dimension.

Poseidon gritted his teeth until they nearly cracked. Shame, rage, and fear mixed on his face. Yet his survival instinct overpowered his ego. He stared at Sylvia one more time with a gaze full of suppressed resentment, before finally lowering his trident.

In the blink of an eye, the giant water pillar collapsed. Poseidon transformed into a flash of blue light and disappeared completely from the Outer Ocean, returning to hide inside his dimensional marble temple, far more terrified than before.

The Outer Ocean became calm once more. The blue bioluminescence glowed peacefully again as if the cosmic tension just now had been nothing more than a passing nightmare.

The two super-powerful women then turned to face Sylvia. Their killing auras and authorities instantly evaporated, replaced by warm smiles.

"There, the pests have been cleaned," Persephone said while straightening Sylvia’s black gown. "Forgive Mother for the earlier disturbance, Dear. They truly have no manners."

Sylvia sipped her tea that had begun to cool, looking neither impressed nor surprised. "Mother is always too protective. I was just thinking of a way to cook giant Greek squid."

Sylvia set her teacup down and pointed toward the Northern Trench that was still filled with lightning storms. "Well, it doesn’t matter. Besides, my main dish isn’t them. Since Mother and Lady Earth are already here, how about joining us on this ship? We will watch the battle between Jormungandr and Envy from VVIP seats."

Persephone and the World Avatar looked at each other, then smiled softly.

"With pleasure," the World Avatar answered. "I also want to see how Jormungandr adapts to my new continents."

In the command room, Celes and Stacia could only freeze while staring at the monitor screens. They realized that their fleet now carried not only a Rank 7 Demigod, but was also boarded by the two strongest existences in the current universe.

"Celes," Sylvia’s telepathic voice shattered the Commander’s daze. "Why has this ship stopped? You’ve already replaced the reactor cores, right? Let’s go. My roasted serpent won’t cook itself."

Celes let out a long sigh and returned to massaging her temples. "Understood, Your Majesty... Eclipse-Class Fleet, advance at full speed!"

And with that, the Black Star Steel fleet once again shot forward, cleaving through the Outer Ocean, carrying with it the fate of death for any monster awaiting at the end of their journey.
