I Got Reincarnated as a Zombie Girl

Chapter 121 – The Return of the Queen

The journey back to my territory took several days. A distance of 80 to 100 kilometers was no small feat, even for me. Especially this time I wasn’t alone.

Just imagine: a thousand zombies running alongside me in one massive procession. The pounding of their feet shook the earth, and whenever we passed through the ruins of a city or a surviving human settlement, we left behind nothing but fear.

They didn’t even need to attack. Just appearing, marching in perfect formation, was enough to make people tremble. Who wouldn’t be terrified? Rotting bodies moving with military coordination and at the center of them all, me, the Queen, who had already become a known figure.

I hadn’t realized it at first, but rumors of my undead parade spread quickly. Among the humans, they had started calling us the "Dark Legion." Some brave enough to peek out from the rubble could even recognize me from afar. My face, my dark aura, the elegant black gown they had become unmistakable. So far, I was the only one ever called "Queen." There were several Kings, but none who commanded a force as large as mine.

I didn’t mean to scare them, but it was amusing to see the effect of my presence.

However, the real surprise came when I finally reached the border of my territory.

I was truly stunned.

A massive stone wall now loomed high, surrounding what was once a vast, unguarded ruin. The fortress was solid, built meticulously from the debris of old buildings and large stones, assembled with remarkable craftsmanship. Watchtowers dotted the perimeter, with zombie sentries standing still like statues.

As I approached the main gate, several guard zombies moved. They recognized me without hesitation. In perfect unison, they began to open the heavy gate. The grating screech of metal against stone echoed sharply and then, the gate was fully open.

My entourage and I entered.

The view inside shocked me for the second time.
